Carina Wickens, RVN, REVN

Carina is originally from the UK and started her veterinary nursing career in small animals 23 years ago and specialised as an equine vet nurse in 2009. She first joined The Equine Centre in 2010-2012 and then returned permanently in 2016.  Carina has worked at several equine practices in the UK, as Head Nurse she was responsible for training equine veterinary nurses and implementing gold standard work practices and protocols.

Carina enjoys all aspects of her job within the Equine Centre especially performing CTs and looking after the horses and clients. She performs bone scans, CT and radiography.

Carina’s horse Yogi keeps her busy outside of work doing trail riding, natural horsemanship and obstacles. You may have met Carina’s dog Maize who comes to work with her most days.
