Jenny Raffetto

Jenny is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in Large Animal Surgery. She graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2007 and completed her Equine Surgical internship at the Chino Valley Equine Hospital in 2008. She undertook a residency in Equine Surgery at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Centre  in Virginia, completing this at the Chino Valley Equine Hospital in California 2011 and has worked in private equine practice on the Gold Coast and Townsville.

In her prior position before joining the University of Melbourne in 2018, she was engaged in the development of novel blended learning resources (digital learning objects) in addition to clinical instruction at James Cook University. Jenny has a professional interest in the investigation of poor performance in horses of all athletic disciplines and has been previously known for her enjoyment of colics and the odd small ruminant and camelid.

Outside work Jenny enjoys playing the ukulele with her friends and has recently joined the ranks of pony club parent.
